Tom Survives!
From Gail:
At the day three close, Tom is at $123k. He said 747 are left but I saw 719 on WSOP.com. Will confirm tomorrow. He begins day four action at noon tomorrow when the money bubble should burst at some point. Great summary at:http://www.wsop.com/ tournaments/ updates.asp?grid=887&tid=12161

Tom's Status
Here's Gail's report at the dinner break:
"At dinner break, Tom has $90k. With each orbit costing $6300 and going up, it's getting expensive to play or sit out. He lost a bunch on pocket 7s and is refueling now hopefully for some chip accumulation. He's in the middle chip stack wise at his table with the chip leader at $150k. 1017 left and 666 is the money. Blinds will be 1500/3000/400 when he gets back. C 'mon Tom!!"
And here is her most recent report from about an hour ago:
"Seriously?? Tom is being moved to the featured table with all the cameras and commentators!"

Day 2 is over
Tom ended day 2 at 80k. During the last level he went as low as 50k but then got it back. Now he has a day off as day 2C plays. The players then combine for Day 3 on Thursday. When they come back they will be on level 11 - 800/1600/200. Aproximately 900 players remain from the original day 1A and B fields that totaled 3180. Today Dave Bernatz starts his day 2C with about 40k.

Tom just finished his last break of the night...
Tom just finished his final break of the evening and has about 86k. With the blinds going to 600/1200 he still has 71BB.
Here are a few recent big hands:
with the blinds at 400/800 Tom raisedwith J9dd from Mid-late position to 1700. The SB re-raised to 3500 and Tom called. The flop came A76dd and the SB led out for 4200. Tom calls. Turn is the Qd. SB checks and Tom bets 7000. SB calls. River is the 4c. SB checks with 25k behind. Tom has about 45k back now. Tom bets 10k and the SB folds. This hand got Tom up to 68k
Soon after that hand Tom chipped up again with this play: It folded to Tom on the button and with AJdd he raised to 1700. He expected the SB (internet/live pro with $500k earnings) to shove a wide range of holdings so he wasn't surprised when he did shove. The BB folded and Tom called. The villain showed 77 which was stronger than Tom expected. No worries though as the board ran out KdQd83dX to give Tom the butt flush and some more tasty chips.
Then soon after this hand Tom saw a flop holding 33 and flop came 332. It went check-check on the flop. The turn was a 7. Tom bet and his opponent folded. Sigh.

Keith is out...
His report:
Well my dream is over. I got shortstacked and down to 26,000 in Big blind and UTG plus one raises to 4,500 everyone else folds I shove with AQ diamonds and he calls with with QJ spades and he hits his J on flop. Brick, brick and im out. Sooo frustrating.

Tom at the 1st break
At the first break Tom has about 50k still. He just got moved to Brasilia 82 and is laying low until he learns more about his table. We just gave him a scouting report on his new tablemates.
Keith at the first break
Keith has had a challenging day so far. In the 9th hand of the day he got dealt 77 in the SB. He called with 2 limpers and the BB checked his option. The flop came 972 all hearts. The first limper bets out, the second one folds, Keith called and the BB folded. The turn is the 2C - check, check. The river is the JD. The villain leads out and Keith shoves with his 777JJ boat. Villain shows 99 for the higher boat. That knocked Keith down to 4,100 but he has doubled up a couple times and now has 19,650. With blinds going to 300/600/75 Keith still has just over 30 BB to make a move...

Tom's making some progress
From Gail:
"Tom win a couple more hands--one in which he three bet Gavin pre flop with QQ. Gavin calls and flop is A44. Gavin mucks pre flop and purposefully knocks over tom's stack. Tom takes the pot. Lol. Gavin is fun. "

Dinner break for Tom
Tom is still at about 19k in chips. He says he likes his table but hasn't found a spot to chip up. Blinds go to 150/300/25 after the 90 minute dinner break so he is still sitting fine with 63 big blinds
Tom's new table-mate - Gavin Smith!
Tom's down a little at the first break...
From our sideline reporter Gail:
"At the first break Tom has $29k. His table isn't overly aggressive, although there's been some three betting and reraising. He's been down to $26k and up to $31k. Lost with pocket 10s and won $4k with a backdoor straight draw, and also with the nut flush. Jonathan Duhamel main event winner in 2010 is behind him and pro fighter GSP who kicked off the play today on the mic is at the next table as well."
Tom takes in a small pot early...
Eric Lindren sitting right behind Tom...
Vanessa Rouso is at Lindgren's table...
Tom's first table - just getting started...

Anyone following this should know that there will be more and more frequent updates on our Facebook page. I will post here when there are any major developments.
Some info on the Main Event:2012 Main Event Structure and Rules
While it is a very deep-stack tournament it doesn't play THAT deep since they start the blinds at 50/100 or only 300 big blinds. However, each level is 2 hours long. There is a 20 minute brea...k after each level and a 90 dinner break after level 3. They'll play 5 levels today which means action will end at about 12:30am.
