It's over...
Bad news for the Pman. He says he never won a hand today besides stealing the blinds and antes a few times. He finally shoved with AT and got called by AK. There were about 1,300 left when he busted.
Pman75 - First Break
One word: depressing. Wish I had something better to report. Stack has dwindled down to 26k which will only be 13 BB's at the next level (1000/2000/300).
Ridiculously bad cards. Had an A8dd which I 3-bet pre, bricked the flop. C-bet, called by tight old guy. Soooo had to abandon. Had KQoff twice, bricked both flops. I was able to pick up the blinds and antes from the cutoff as my only steal opportunity.
Everything else has been of the J4off variety. No pairs, no draws, no flops, few opportunities = rough time. Good thing I know how to grind a short stack and can play "Paul Ball" (a term coined by Jonkey) as well as anyone. Time for a couple of needed double-ups. Wish me luck!

Pman bags up 70k for day 3...
Bled a little at the end, mostly from one hand: I raised from UTG with AK. Big blind got douchey and called with 63off, hitting the flop and taking 15k from me. Then the next hand he folded his SB to a min-raise. He had worse than 63off??!!
Other than that I held steady and will start day 3 with about 45 BB's. Wanted more but doubled up from day 1 so not horrible. Will research new table in the morning and see what day 3 brings.
By the way, Phil Ivey - who was sitting right behind me at the end - has the staff count and bag his chips. Good night.

More from Pman...
....a little more from my talk with Paul: he reported that so far today, in almost 11 hours of play, he has not had AA, KK, QQ, AKs, flopped a set or 2-pair even once. He did get trips twice. So far it's been a lot of patience, good reads and some smoke and mirrors...
Pman is going to a new table...
...Jonkey here: just had a quick conversation with our man who just got a table change. As they were getting ready to move Schwartz came over to Paul and asked what he started the day with. Paul told him "low 30's". Schwartz then said, "you've played really well then, I don't remember you winning any big pots". Paul told him he hadn't really and Schwartz said that was some good playing then. Not to make too much of this but Lukas Schwartz is a pretty big deal and he made a point of giving our man "a nod". By the way - Pman is taking about 95k to his new table...

Pman75 - last break...
Nothing major. Just building my stack steadily. Went from 61k to ~ 86k picking up a few smallish pots and picking off a couple bluffs/C-bets. Still haven't had any BIG opportunities...but that'll come. Patience and timed aggressiveness is the key here.
Last level of the night starts at 10:45.
Pman75. 9:25pm
Knocked out my second victim of the tourney. UTG shoved 13k. In BB I called with 1010. He had 66. Board held.
Up to almost 90k
Pman75 at the dinner break....
Playing solidly. Picked up a few more pots. New Euro came to table with a healthy stack. I ended up the level at 61k+. 3rd biggest stack at table.
Feel good. Still haven't had many opportunities (have never had AA, KK, or QQ). Most of my pots have come from good reads/tough calls on trouble-ish boards. Hoping the time will come when I actually have a premium hand.
Off for dinner til 8:30. Next update ~ 10:30.
PDude.
Another correction...
....Your reporter got another Pman hand wrong- Against Schwartz - after calling with TT and seeing a flop of A83 our hero checked/called a c-bet of 2500. Then the hand was checked down with Schwartz showing 5-high.
Pman75 - mid-round update...
5:20pm - the Pman may be chip leader at his table, though still around 49k after winning a pot of of Lukas. His report: at 400/800/100 Schwartz raises to 2k. I have TT. Schwartz is the ONLY one I don't want to tangle with (he already re-raised me off of one hand) so I just call. Board runs out A83KQ (ugh, nice turn and river for 10's) and we check it down. Schwartz shows 5 high.
also, a correction to previous post - the cart-puller in the previous post (A3 hand) actually bet 6800 on the river which our hero called. The Pman is even better than we thought! - Jonkey

Pman75 on 2nd break - back up to 49k
Horrrrrrible first 3 1/2 hours of the day..... SOLID last 1/2 hour.
Had bled with nothing, nada, zip, zilch, squat down to ~21k. Finally had a couple of opportunities to win a few hands: re-raise, make a play, etc, and hey... actually make a hand! Whaddya know? I was beginning to wonder!
At 300/600/75 level: called UTG raise for 1500 from BB with A3dd. Flop was 363. I knew he was a) very tight, b) fired every time it was checked in position to him, c) he probably had ONLY AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK and mayyybe AQ in this spot. I'll let him do the pulling (see old adage "why do the pushing when the donkey will do the pulling?!"). I check the flop, he complies with a 1800 chip bet. THank you. TUrn is a 9. I check and he bets 3800. Thank you. River is a J. I opt for just a call just in case he spiked the J (board also went runner runner flush). Nitty, I know. IF he had AA, KK or QQ then I am missing a bet. But if he did spike the J or back doored a flush he'll put me all in and I have a tough decision for my life. He checks behind and shows AQ. I made absolutely the MAX by check/calling and letting him try to get me off the pot. He would have folded ANY bet at ANY time from me.
Back to nearly 50k, plenty of room to maneuver, and easily the 2nd chip leader behind Lukas Schwartz. If you haven't YouTubed him yet, I suggest you do - he's a beast).
Onto 3rd level of the day.

Pman75 - first break
Wow. Nothing happening in level 6. Completely card dead. Only had one pair (55), no big A's, no suited connectors, no big paint cards. Never hit a flop, won my only 2 pots on C-bets after bricked flops. Not many opportunities to take advantage of. :-(
The good news is there are a couple of donks at my table just waiting to their chips away. The bad news is that they keep giving them away to the 2 tough pros at the table.
Down to 26k so at 300/600 level I still have 43BB's. Not too worried. Just gotta keep on keepin' on.

Pman75 starts Day 2...
Day 2C started at noon today with 2,306 out of 3,467 remaining from day 1C. Our man Paul Hopkins (his first name is Jeremy if you want to look him up) is playing right now and is up about 1k from his starting stack of 34,925. Fortunately ...only one player at his table started the day with over 40k. Unfortunately that player is Lukas Schwartz (with 46k) a well known European pro that has a lot of game and a lot of gamble in him (check out some of his clips on youtube - the dude is good and fearless). No problem for the Pman though!

David' out...
~3:30pm
And we're down to one. David had a few plays that burned through some chips - then he looked down at JJ under the gun and shoved. Unfortunately a mean player after him looked down at AA and it was over.

David is still in but stuck in neutral...
Meanwhile David is having trouble getting any traction today - he has 22,800 chips early in round 6 (300/600/50)
Man down...
~2:30pm
Renee bet 2000 holding AKcc. He got one caller and saw a flop of 8c7c6h. Rene bets 3000 and gets a call. Turn is 5c. Rene checks, the villain goes all and Rene calls. The bad guy shows 67 for flopped two pair while our here has the nut flush. River is a 6 and Rene is out.

First action of the day for Rene and David
12:45 ish Level 6: 250/500/50
David is already already up to 30k after taking a pot down with a river bluff and then 3-betting from the button.
